Resident Questions and AnswersQ: How many are in your family and do you have any kids? A: It's just us! Our kids have fur! Two cats – Sookie and Duke and our dog Huck.Q: How did you and your spouse meet?A: We met through mutual friends on a ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado.Q: Where are you from and how long have you lived in Woodridge Forest?A: We actually both grew up here! Paul is a former Deerwood Dolphin, Riverwood Longhorn and Kingwood Mustang! Rachel is a former Willow Creek Cardinal, Greentree Gator and Creekwood Colt (moving away after 7thgrade). We both moved on and met later in life. After we got married, we decided to look for a house back in Kingwood and ended up here about 2 ½ years ago!Q: What made you decide to live in Woodridge Forest?A: We liked that the neighborhood was new and located at the front of Kingwood. We just happened to find the perfect house for us that had just finished being built and ready for move in.Q: What do you do for a living?A: Rachel works full time for an electricity company in Downtown Houston and is also actively pursuing a career in Real Estate. Paul is self-employed and loves pursuing his passion for construction every day!Q: Do you own a small/local business? If so tell us about it! A: Yes! Paul is co-partner in a commercial and residential renovation company. Rachel is actively pursuing an interior design, staging and home décor business! We are tapping into our inner Chip and Joanna Gaines.Q: What do you enjoy in your free time?A: We both like to hunt and fish, be outdoors, and root for the Texans! Paul loves working out, growing hot peppers and building/fixing stuff. Rachel likes cooking, decorating and antiquing. Our dream is to have some property of our own and have cattle, goats and all the dogs Rachel can possibly save.Q: Three things that you love about Woodridge Forest?A: We LOVE our neighbors! Everyone is so welcoming. It's great when your neighbors feel like friends! We also love the new trails that were put in recently! It's great to walk the dog (and cat if she decides to join us) and for Paul to ride his bike.Q: Do you have a favorite spot here in Kingwood? Ie. Hidden gem, shop, restaurant, park etc.
A: Yes!! We love the karaoke bar "How U Doin" and Kingwood Bagel Shop is a regular on the weekends. You have to try the lox sandwich – it's the BEST! Also – we love Akashi! They have some of the best sushi we've ever had!Q: If you were sent to an island and could only take three things with you what would they be? A: A pot to boil water, Firestarter and sunglasses. We are pretty practical, resourceful people. We could survive!Q: What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks for a cup of coffee and why?A: Paul and Rachel both agree – JJ Watt! Because…duh! It's JJ Watt!Q: What would be your go to song at Karaoke night?A: Rachel speaking here – there are so many! Paul (not so) secretly wishes there weren't! It's hard to choose – but anything Miranda Lambert, Say My Name by Destiny's Child, Waterfalls or No Scrubs by TLC, Spice Girls….I could go on and on….
